1. ¨Hasta la vista baby.¨- Arnold Schwarzenegger
2. ¨Life is just a box of chocolates, you never know what you are gonna get.¨- Forrest Gump
3. ¨It´s hard not to get romantic about baseball. This kinda thing, it´s fun for the fans.¨- Billy Beane
4. Remember, hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies.¨- Stephen King
5. ¨After all, tomorrow is another day.¨- Margaret Mitchell
My Movie Preference
My favorite movie I have ever watched is Money Ball starring Brad Pitt. It is about the 2002 Oakland Athletics the season after a disappointing post-season loss to the New York Yankees. Brad Pitt plays former player and now new General Manager Billy Beane. Billy faces the struggle of losing his top three players and has to deal with a tight budget and create a successful team in the 2003 season. I like this movie because it deals with the statistical side of baseball that nobody really is aware of. It breaks the game down to a very technical view point that ultimately leads the team to success yet again.
I really like all movies, there isn´t necessarily a movie I absolutely didn´t like. However, horror movies aren´t the ideal movies for me. I see why people like them, because they want to be scared, but why would you want to get scared a lot on purpose? I guess I am just a big fan of calm and relaxing strategical movies such as Money Ball.
I work at the Premier Palace here in Springfield, usually I go back to my workplace after a work shift and see a movie. I love movies, and I would rather watch them at home. However, I believe in getting the movie goer experience. So, I often like going to see movies at a classic theater like the Palace.
I usually don´t need much to watch a movie. I sit down with a drink or a snack and usually make it through all of the movie. The only time I would get up is if I had to use the restroom at some point during the movie.
If my life was made into a movie, I would probably hire Jim Parsons to portray me as a character since I have been told by multiple people that we look alike. I would highlight my high school and college careers as well as my professional career as a writer. And in the end, I would create a happy ending, because who doesn´t want a happy ending?

This is... Ewald Holzinger
This was a birthday my family threw for me when I was young. I don't remember it at all since I was so young, but I would like to believe I was very happy that day. Or I think I should have been if I knew my years were limited with my grandfather.
I realize I write about my grandfather a lot on this blog, but I loved and admired that man so much. Little did I realize until now, he went out of his way to do everything for me. We would take walks down to the creek in my neighborhood, and even down to the stock car track on a summer night. He enjoyed everything I do.
He came to my baseball games, he supported me in school and he loved spending time with me. I may have not noticed this when I was young, but when I look back at all these pictures, I can't help but noticed he loved me dearly.
And to be completely honest, I took our time together for granted sometimes. I thought he would always be here with me. Until he got diagnosed with Parkinsons and slowly went in a decline over the years. He died in November of 2016 and I will never forget the day my family broke the news to me. I stood in silence, much like I do to this very day when I speak of him.
I am looking forward to the day I will be able to see him again. Grandpa, this is for you, I love you so much and I would do anything to watch one more ball game with you.
Flea Market Story
It seemed like it was only yesterday when little Carl and his family had to leave Independence Missouri and head to Oregon. At the time, he did not understand why they were doing this, and especially why there was such an urgency to do it. His father found a better paying job that would support their large family. Carl had a couple older brothers, but some younger sisters he usually took care of.
He day dreamed often about what it would be like in Oregon. Was it warmer there? Was it more spacious? Carl was big on his own privacy. Since they had such a large family in such a small house, he was always in a room with someone even though sometimes he wanted to by himself. He would often go outside and run of on his own and watch the sunset to pass the time.
He was big into sport even though his father said it was a bunch of nonsense. He always said "You will never make any money doing that silly sport son, find a real job." Little did his father know, it later drove him to do what he wanted to do, and ultimately deny his father.
Later in his life, Carl played ball for a minor league team in Oregon and made a lot of money off of it. He forgave his father for his discouragement, and later bought him a house for him to retire in. All in all, Carl went on his preach to do what you want to do, no matter what.

Photo of the Millennium
Over the course of my life, space exploration has always fascinated me more than any other subject. Something about exploring beyond our planet and venturing far beyond what we can see gets me excited to think about. What if there is other life outside of our knowledge just roaming around?
NASA has already explored the possibilities of space life, and they have come to a conclusion. They have announced that space life can be found sooner than we think. Alien "fingerprints" could be left in our solar system if there has ever been something that has traveled through it.
This photograph reminds me of the passion I admire most of all. The Huble telescope took this picture of a look at a part of our universe. The thing that fascinates me most about this picture is that our universe is predicted to be infinite. So in this case, a single photograph can't capture the entire beauty of our universe. There is more out there than anyone realizes, and not a lot of people are aware.

Creative Writing Photo Hunt
This first picture is a picture of my girlfriend, Georgia Warthen. She makes me smile every day, when times are good and bad. #blessed
This second picture is of my journalism advisor, Ms. Orman's teaching poster outside of her room. She has brought me a long way and has helped me discover a passion. #future
This third picture is of my social studies teacher, Coach Howser's teaching poster outside of his room. He has inspired me to work hard and fight for my spot in today's society. #tough
This fourth picture is of a book case in the Kickapoo Library. It contains some books I read as a child and some I even read now. #HeroesofOlympus
This fifth picture is a picture of the back of a classroom. This is an interesting angle for me because I'm always sitting in the back of the room just #chillin.
The seventh picture is one of the courtyard at Kickapoo High School. During the winter time, the trees are dead and bare, but in the spring, they are green and lush. #nature
The eighth picture is one of a dinosaur sculpture in Kickapoo High School. This was originally put here in the science wing and I believe it would be a huge attraction to younger children. #rawr
The tenth and final picture features a symbol of my high school. It is a chief head that will always remind me of my high schools mascot and logo. #chiefalumni

Freedom...
*Inspired by Maya Angelou and a writing prompt based on freedom
Getting a 86% on my drivers permit test and passing
The finish of sophmore year, living happily
Finally getting my drivers license in the following year
Driving around on late summer nights
Friends being around, bumping to the young boy from Gaithersburg
Waking up one morning, realizing it is the start of senior year
Lazy and easy classes throughout the year
Memories being made as I pursue my dream
Writing and reporting, that's how it will always be
Next thing I know, it's graduation and the real freedom starts...

Maya Angelou Dream Questions
Angelou makes a wonderful statement by saying ¨the universal human power to triumph over adversity.¨ I believe everyone has this power, not just me. Most people don´t give up on life, which means people overcome adversity a lot over their whole entire life. I overcome adversity almost every single day of my life by dealing with school. School is difficult for me, and I overcome it every single day and get through each school year. It's tough, but overcoming something only makes you a better person overall. If only more people knew about Maya's work, other people who are having trouble overcoming could look to her for inspiration. Her writing and type of quotes she gives for documentation is truly inspiring, if only more people were more aware of her work, we could all be more inspired.
¨There´s a world of difference between truth and fact.¨ Another one of Angelou´s quotes that is so inspiring to me. Truth is something that is morally correct to human beings. Fact is something that is 100% true and doesn´t necessarily have to be morally correct. That´s what I think Angelou is trying to say, is that you should always tell the truth because it is morally right. And some people might not think the same thing, but this is the positive type of mindset. When people start thinking in this mindset, maybe this world can become a better place. I mean who knows? Maybe it can better our world.
Much like Angelou does with her ¨small mind¨ to get ready to write, I have to get a clear mind. In order to get this clear state, I need to relax. I big about having my own time to relax, every single night I set aside an hour or two where I can kick back and not have to worry about anything. I just started this technique this year and I've noticed it helps me a lot. A lot of time when I come home from school I find myself tired, so now I usually take a nap or just relax in my bed. Since this all took place, I even noticed that my grades in school improved by a huge amount. And it has even helped out with other activities I do outside of school and away from home. My baseball practice sessions have improved miraculously as I feel like I have more energy, along with all my other hobbies.

Dream Thread
I was in space. It always happens in my dreams. I always venture away from myself and explore the very things I´m interested in. Space exploration has always interested me, and I have done so much research on it, I think I have developed fears and states of dream from it. I dream of floating in space, by myself in a quiet atmosphere. I enjoy the view every time, star gazing and exploring our very own unknown knowledge. Every single time I slip into one of those dreams, it seems like I am on a new adventure every single time I get there. I explore the whole universe, exploring life our human race would´ve never found by themselves. ItÅ› almost as if I go here to relax and just forget about everything stressful in my life. This probably explains why I have always gotten a good nights sleep. I wake up every morning feeling rested and ready for the next day. Very rarely do I wake up feeling tired or at all exhausted. But hey who knows? This could all be just a dream and life isn´t real. You could say I had a crazy dream last night, and all the nights before that.
If I Were in Charge of the World
If I were in charge of the world...
I´d cancel Golf, The New England Patriots, the Pittsburgh Steelers and also taxes.
If I were in charge of the world...
There´d be more Baltimore Ravens fans, a lot of Chinese food and no school.
If I were in charge of the world...
You wouldn´t have racism.
You wouldn´t have special rights.
You wouldn´t have grudges or ¨racial slurs.¨
You wouldn´t even have regrets.
If I were in charge of the world...
A sense of negativity would be a vegetable.
All positive minds would be welcomed.
And a person who sometimes forgot love and sometimes forgot to care, would still be allowed to be in charge of the world.

The Goat
Brady and Bilichick were the one-two
In Super Bowl 51, the Patriots came up clutch
In the last minute came the game winning catch
In the last bit of grass called a patch
Football is over, time for the rest of the year
Baseball begins, at the beginning of this year
The Goat Brady will stand tall as ever
Will anyone pass him? The answer is maybe never
*Inspired by the Super Bowl 51 Champions, The New England Patriots, and their legendary coach and quarterback, Tom Brady and Bill Bilichick. Also inspired by my Patriots sweatshirt I cut out of a Sports Illustrated that was based on my favorite color of blue.

Part of the Flock
It all started when the flock lost, and the little boy felt down and blue. It was his favorite team
that lost and made the boy feel the same bright color as the sky. The ocean even seemed less distinct than what the boy was feeling. As his heart turned from red, to the complete opposite in a cold transition. Even though there was loss as cold as color was to ice, the boy knew there would always be a next season until the day he passed.
The color of the flock he belonged with was purple and were called the Ravens. His favorite bird was introduced by the violet colored feathers of the bird. So majestic, and so quiet throughout the day, and as it blended into the night, as did the birds color. The field the men played on was filled with the pride of Baltimore at midfield, mixed with yellow and a shade of an eggplant.
Black is the color of the night, as is some of the feathers of the flock. They are convincing, full with pain, ready to conflict the same feeling with others in order to succeed. At the end of the day, all it takes is one player that moves through the night as quick as a raven, to dominate the field.
Silver is the color of the Lombardi trophy. The metallic and glorious color of champions, reached by many before. Legends have hoisted something that was shiny much like it, just in a different form. This is also the color of jewelry the players received, to remember that heroic night. They will never be forgotten, because hero’s never are… and neither is the flock… that was one with the night.

Narrative and Free Verse Color Poems
Narrative Poem:
In a city that is based around their sports organization
A city full with success, but disappointment at the same time
Citizens boo with failure, cheer with excitement
The Redbirds they call them, but are similar in color to rosebuds
In reality, nature bonds with each other, birds with flowers
But in the sports market, it all goes back to the money at the end of the day
Championships cope with success in today´s world
*based on the color Redbud
Free Verse Poem:
We all look up every single day
The color we see makes us feel gay
Clouds emerge as we move on
Next thing you know, they will be gone
When we go outside after a day of work
We can see a happy state or a gloomy murk
Even though we take the sky for granted
If it´s sunny outside, we can all be candid
*based off of the color called Cloudburst

Acrostic Color Poem
Color Haiku's
Blue Discovery
A hot, summer day
Beyond the clouds, easy to see
Lighter than the ocean
Snow Mountain Blue
Denver, cold and quiet
Snowy, chance of a heavy snowstorm
Covering the mountains
Behind Blue Eyes
She had them, so lovely
Passion grew, distance was established
The goal is forever
